Gravel Bikes

Why a Gravel Bike?
Gravel and “all-road” are terms used for this rapidly growing segment of the drop-bar bike market.

Gravel bikes are essentially road bikes designed to be used on unpaved as well as paved roads. They open new routes, terrain, and experiences on familiar road-like equipment.

Gravel bikes generally feature lightweight frames with an endurance geometry and compared to regular road bikes, there is mud clearance and room for larger tires making them more stable and forgiving. There are a wide variety of designs from those geared to be fast, quick-handling, and work great on smoother-dirt and paved roads to those which are essentially drop-bar mountain bikes. These latter bikes can fit mountain bike tires, and have stability-focused geometry, components, and clearance for tougher adventures.

Who is it for?
Gravel bikes are an excellent choice for commuters, recreational riders and racers.

How to Choose a Gravel Bike
Gravel bikes offer a lot of flexibility of use providing a wide spectrum of riding experiences. However, proper fit is essential for gravel bikes, as it is with all bikes. A poor fit can be uncomfortable or even painful and reduce pedaling efficiency.

Depending upon the gravel bike model, it may include racks, lighting systems or fenders for commuting or touring use. We have a complete line of accessories to equip your bike to meet your needs.
